After being weighed down by Delhi’s harsh cold, laden down under layers of warmers for months, I had no desire left to ever go to any cold places. Before one month in Delhi’s harsh heat warmed me up a tiny bit!
And since I cannot think of anything cheaper introduction– let’s say the best affairs happen in cold environments. :D
And here they go –links to some random notes from my latest affair -P

Except for the buransh juice, some leaves that lay down the carpet as souvenirs (a new word I learnt)
I am taking back home a realisation
Here I learnt my biggest weakness is my desire to run away from responsibility and ownership if and whenever I can. Probably because of my desire for being free but nonetheless a weakness in times when I should assume responsibility.
I realised how much positivity and how many experiences can be wrapped up in 4 days which usually just pass by– mostly just getting about everyday, cribbing, not doing much.. Sulking around.
I am taking back home a wish
a wish to know more about forest fires and unravel why it is a problem not yet solved
a wish to have at least one home in the mountains somewhere– where I can come by whenever I feel like ..
a wish to serve these mountains. If I could be so arrogant to think that me– a human could probably make them better, offer them something, like these trees a system of irrigation in hot months, a way to douse forest fires until we learn that forest fires are beneficial for the forests, more sources of income and a richer life for the forest folks
And I am taking back home the memories of my affair –
with these mountain roads I walked on every morning
with the stones I sat on trying to absorb the nature that now seems like a dream
with the government owned spacious minimalist rest houses perched high up on these mountains,
with the army cantonment area here
with these mountain rocks that I so love climbing up and down from
I just realised the name of my short affair is Lansdowne and not Landsdowne, as I was calling it before I came here.
